A 2-day event series dedicated to Sustainability and Fair-Trade Practices!
On Wednesday, September 18 from 6:30 to 8:30 at Violet Crown Cinema, GTW members and non members will get access to a screening of the documentary The True Cost.
The documentary focuses on the impact of purchasing clothes and the power the consumer has to affect the cycle through their own purchases.
On Sunday, September 22 from 1 to 4 p.m at Brazos Hall, GTW hosts "Guaranteed To Support Makers," a pop-up market featuring a select group of Austin makers and artisans who are dedicated to sustainability and fair-trade practices.
The event will include a panel on ‘Why Shopping Sustainably Matters' and a chance to shop from local makers while getting to know them and their talent.
Complimentary drinks and cocktails will also be served as refreshers from local Austin companies including Rambler Sparkling Water, FIX vodka, Susto mezcal and more.
The market and screening are both open to All In, Flexible, Monthly Members and Non Members.
**All market attendees will receive a GTW tote for shopping and complimentary drinks during the event!
